Today the calendar is more crowded. The Prime Big Deal Days at the beginning of October, Singles Day on 11 November, Black Friday and Cyber Monday all fall within eight weeks, and each event generates a wave of orders with a different profile. Those who work with a 3PL logistics partner or manage their warehouse in-house face the same problem: there is no longer one peak to prepare for, there are four, and warehouse and transport capacity must be planned for each one.

The 2026 peak calendar: dates and gaps between events

Lining up the dates helps to see how little room there is between one event and the next, especially in the second half of November.

Prime Big Deal Days (6-7 October), Singles Day (11 November), Black Friday (27 November), Cyber Monday (30 November), Christmas cut-off

6 and 7 October: Prime Big Deal Days on Amazon.it, 48 hours of deals reserved for members;

11 November, Wednesday: Singles Day, 35 days after the end of October Prime Day;

27 November, Friday: Black Friday, 16 days after Singles Day;

30 November, Monday: Cyber Monday 2026, three days after Black Friday, with weekend orders still being processed;

mid-December: courier cut-offs for delivery by Christmas, to be checked with each carrier based on service and destination.

55 days pass from 6 October to 30 November. The critical part is the final two weeks of November, when Black Friday and Cyber Monday merge into a single long wave, while Singles Day returns start to come back.

Prime Big Deal Days as a dress rehearsal

For those who sell on Amazon or compete with its promotions, October Prime is a small Black Friday six weeks early. It does not reach end-of-November volumes, but it puts pressure on the same points of the system: stock receiving, pickingspeed, closing parcels before the pick-up time, courier reliability. Treating it as a stress test makes it possible to fix problems while there is still time to do so.

What data to collect: orders per hour, lines per order, fulfilment times, courier delays

The most useful figure is not the total number of orders for the day, but their hourly distribution. A warehouse that handles a thousand orders spread over ten hours can go into crisis if six hundred arrive between 8 pm and midnight. Then there are the average lines per order, which tell you how much picking work lies behind each parcel, and the time between receiving the order and handing it over to the courier.

On the transport side, shipments delivered after the promised date should be collected, broken down by carrier and geographical area, because that is where you can see which courier struggled first.

Where the bottleneck formed and what to fix by November

Once the numbers are lined up, the bottleneck usually emerges on its own. Sometimes it is packing, because there were not enough workstations or the box formats had run out; sometimes it is the pick-up, with ready parcels left on the floor because the courier only comes once a day; sometimes it is upstream, with best-selling items sold out after a few hours. Each of these problems has a different remedy, and almost all of them take weeks: reinforcing staff, booking a second pick-up, bringing forward a reorder. On stock, the work done to avoid stock-outs in peak seasonapplies, which in October enters the phase of targeted replenishment of the items that sold the most.

Logistics that follows the calendar: from T-90 to the November waves

The method we work with counts backwards from the key day. If the reference is Black Friday, T-90 fell at the end of August, T-60 at the end of September and T-30 will arrive at the end of October. With four peaks close together, however, the calendar must be read in waves. Black Friday T-30 almost coincides with Singles Day T-15, so decisions on stock and capacity for 11 November must be closed now, while those for the end of November can still incorporate what emerged from Prime.

For a D2C fashion or electronics brand, this means having two separate capacity plans: one for Singles Day, often more concentrated on certain categories and with a younger audience, and one for the Black Friday and Cyber Monday window, which involves the entire catalogue. The logistics checklist for Black Friday and Christmas helps to set the pace of the checks to be carried out in each window.

Four peaks, one operational partner

Discover Hubrise logistics outsourcing

Couriers and pick-ups: booking capacity for each wave

Courier capacity in November is not infinite, and carriers distribute it among customers on the basis of the forecasts they receive. Communicating the expected volumes for each wave in advance, and not just for Black Friday, helps to obtain additional pick-ups on the right days. Working with several couriers reduces the risk that the saturation of a single carrier blocks shipments: a multi-carrier smart delivery platform makes it possible to shift volumes from one carrier to another based on service and destination, instead of discovering the problem from customer complaints. The peak surcharges provided for in contracts, which in the weeks of November and December affect the cost of every shipment, must also be checked in advance.

Returns from the first wave during the second

The most underestimated point of the compressed calendar is peak's returns. Singles Day purchases start to come back precisely in the weeks of Black Friday and Cyber Monday, and returns from October Prime may still be in circulation. The same warehouse thus has two opposite flows competing for space, people and workbenches. The practical solution is to separate the processing of returns physically and by shift, giving priority to returns of high-demand items which, once checked, can go back into stock in time to be sold again. For those who also sell on Amazon with different models, marketplace logistics adds a level of complexity, because FBA returns and those from your own website follow different paths.

When it makes sense to entrust the peak to a 3PL partner

Not all ecommerce businesses need to outsource logistics, and not all of them need to do so for the peak. The signs that the choice deserves an assessment, however, can be seen precisely in these weeks: an in-house warehouse that was already at its limit in October, seasonal staff that are hard to find and train in time, repeated delivery delays during Prime, or a promotional calendar that marketing would like to expand but logistics cannot keep up with. In these cases,logistics outsourcing turns part of the fixed costs into variable costs, linked to the actual volumes of each wave. For the 2026 peak, the timeframe for a new onboarding is now tight, but the data collected between October and December is the best basis for calmly choosing the model for 2027.

Let's plan your next peak

Contact the Hubrise team

 When is Singles Day 2026 and why does it matter for Italian ecommerce businesses?

Singles Day, which many people in Italy search for as single day, always falls on 11 November, in 2026 on a Wednesday.
